Helen A. Masser

Helen A Masser, age 89, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born November 16, 1928 in Hegins, PA to the late Charles and Sylvia (Yarnell) Dietrick. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and its Women’s Guild and played church volleyball. She worked over 28 years at Fanny Farmers and retired in 1991. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed gardening, ceramics and crafts.

She is survived by her children, Gale (Garold) Jackson of Willard and Barry L. (Diane) Masser of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Thomas Rinner, Douglas Rinner, Mandy Hinckley, Casey Herbst and Mark Masser; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark I. Masser in 2000; her siblings include three sisters in infancy, Chester Dietrick, Ralph Dietrick, Lewis Dietrick and Gladys Rebuck

Friends may call on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:00 A.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Stacy Lauer Scovanner officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with a reception at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Norwalk.
