Susan Carlisle

Susan Carlisle, age 69, passed away Wednesday morning, November 14, 2018 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

She was born May 31, 1949 in Dover, OH to the late James and Mary Louise (Patrick) Semple. She was a graduate of St. Joe’s Catholic High School in Dover, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kent State University, and a Masters from Bowling Green State University. She was an Elementary teacher for 42 years, serving Bronson and Pleasant Elementary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially attending theater and orchestra performances, museums and traveling. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Arts.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Carlisle of Norwalk; children, Seamus (Pennilane) Carlisle of Cleveland and Michael (Melissa) Carlisle of Westlake; grandchildren; Marian, Samuel and Corinne; and many loved siblings, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at St. Alphonsus social hall, Settlement Road, Norwalk. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
