Cody Rasnick

Cody James Rasnick, age 26, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019.

He was born January 9, 1993 in Norwalk and was a 2011 graduate of Monroeville High School, where he enjoyed playing football and basketball. He later enjoyed playing basketball on the Rec League, loved going to the movies, watching the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Cavs, Indians and The Ohio State University. He worked at Sirna & Sons, Schild’s IGA, Norwalk Concrete and most recently at Miller Pipeline. He was known to be very easy going and loved hanging out with his friends, family and two nephews. He had a sweet tooth and especially enjoyed cookies as desserts.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Amy (Smith) Rasnick of Norwalk; brothers, Kevin (Betsy) Rasnick of Norwalk, Ryan (Teri Krawczyk) Rasnick of Cleveland and Nathan Rasnick of Cincinnati; paternal grandmother, Doris Rasnick of Huron; and nephews, Brycen and Carson Rasnick.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert E. Lee Rasnick; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Edith (Lamb) Smith; and his uncle, Alan Smith.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville with Rev. Ron Schock presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroeville. A luncheon will follow at the church hall.
