Devin Spooner

Devin Oliver Spooner was born on December 20, 1999 and passed away on July 3, 2019, at the age of 19. Devin was born to the loving parents Dennis W. Spooner and Christine M. Poe.

Devin is survived by both parents, sisters, Alicen D. (Austin L. Brant) Poe, Sara M. Spooner and Trinity L. Chaffee; and his baby brother, Dominick R. Chaffee; his maternal grandparents, Ollie and Verginia Poe; niece, Hazel A. Poe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Devin was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, paternal grandmother, K. Marie Spooner; his maternal great-grandparents; and his great aunt, Junnellia R. Hersha; cousin, Harley James Weltin Jr.; and ALL of his beloved pets, and his Dad’s right arm “The Thing”. Devin had a larger than life personality. He was very sweet and loyal to his family and friends. He gave us the strength to get through anything. He had a funny remark to everything just to make us laugh and put us in a better mood. He had a golden heart of steel. He enjoyed playing D&D, video games, computer games, fishing, camping and larping. He liked helping and being handy around the houses. He was a member of Boy Scouts Troop 218, and Bronson-Norwalk Conservation League, and he loved spending time with his family. He will be fiercely missed by his family.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. A pot luck will follow at the Bronson-Norwalk Conservation Club.
