Agnes M (Kluding) Schafer, age 86, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, February 03, 2010 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born May 24, 1923 in Norwalk. She was a bookkeeper for many years for Norwalk Truck Lines. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and its Women of St. Paul. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, cooking and taking care of her home.
She is survived by her husband, Warren C. Schafer of Norwalk; son, Richard (Carol) Schafer of Norwalk; daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Moroney of Grove City, OH, Nancy (Jim) Benadom of Oak Harbor and Dianne (Jim) Staley of Columbus; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon Kluding; sister, Arlene “Enie” Frey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Kluding and Ada (Fries) Kluding; daughter, Mary Frye, brothers, Alfred and Raymond Kluding; sister, Delores Skinn.
Friends may call on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, where a wake service will be held at 6:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Eric Mueller, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
