Jerry A Albritton, age 68, of Norwalk, passed, peacefully, with his family at his side, Tuesday evening, March 2, 2010 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky after a brave one-year battle with cancer.
He was born November 17, 1941 in Fremont, Ohio. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1959. He served four years in the U.S. Navy at Key West, Florida as a Navy Corpsman. He worked in Cleveland as a machinist until retirement. He was an avid sports fan and Nascar fan, enjoyed his yearly trips to the Daytona races, and his trips in his 1987 Mustang. He was very devoted to his parents and he loved and enjoyed all of his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Albritton, of Norwalk; sisters, Nancy (Jim) Christian and Meri Ann Long, both of Norwalk; nieces, Cindy (John) Kromer, Melinda Holtz, Sarah Long, and Katie Long, all of Norwalk; nephews, Greg Christian, Marc (Evelyn) Christian, Jack (Heather) Kurdinat, Josh (Nicole) Kurdinat, all of Norwalk, and Max (Cindy) Holtz, of Sandusky; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Albritton in 1992.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 in the funeral home. Pastor Mark Bogen will officiate and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery
