Joanne R Werner, age 82, of Norwalk, died Friday, March 05, 2010 at Gaymont Nursing Center.
She was born November 4, 1927 in Sandusky to the late Joseph Wilson and Ruth (Connors) Parsons. She attended St. Paul Catholic Church and retired in 1989 from GTE in Norwalk. She enjoyed the outdoors, sunshine, mowing, ice skating and spending time with her dogs and cat.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and James Brown of North Fairfield; sister, Sally Palmer of Sandusky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Werner in 1974; and her son, Michael Werner in 1974.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, with the Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

My mom, Florence Lee, who enjoyed Joanne's company in their swim class, sends her love and prayers. I also send my prayers. Joanne has called and followed my mom's move to live with me in Fairfield. Mom enjoyed Joanne's company so much. They had many great memories and shared lots of laughter. We were sadden to hear of your loss. My mom is 90 years old and Joanne always was looking out for her. You are in our prayers.
