Margaret "Maggie" Mary Laux

Margaret “Maggie” Mary Laux, age 80, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully with family at her side, November 17, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

She was born September 9, 1945, in Norwalk to the late Robert and Florence (Hohler) Laux.

Maggie was employed as a Psychotherapist for several years in Ohio and Wisconsin. In her free time, she found joy in cooking, watching old movies, putting puzzles together and especially crocheting afghans for family and friends. She also was an after-school mentor at the Enrichment Senior Center of Huron County, Norwalk. Maggie had a strong faith in God and held a Bible Study Program in her home.

Maggie is survived by her siblings, Phyllis Gravenhorst of Norwalk, Robert (Mary Ann) Laux Jr of Indiana, Eugene (Marie) Laux of Alabama, Janice (Howard) Fox of Kelleys Island, William (Kay) Laux of Medina, and Elaine (Mark) Collins of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jerome “Jerry” Gravenhorst; and her companion friend, William Vest.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Following Mass, burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, 32 River Road, Monroeville.

After the cemetery service, family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon at Hunters Glen Condo Association Club House, 29 Falcon Crest Drive, Norwalk.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857.

Please give Maggie's family my phone number 765-414-8184 and email. Maggie is my classmate through high school and in the convent. We also lived together for five years in Defiance. She is an exceptional woman. I would love to celebrate her life with you.
