Kenneth C. Harris

Kenneth Charles Harris, age 84, of North Fairfield, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Willows of Willard in Willard, OH.

Kenny was born October 18, 1941, in Sandusky, OH to the late Veley J. and Ruth A. (Plumb) Harris. He attended Norwalk High School.  He worked as a carpenter, more specifically, installing overhead garage doors but his passion was always farming.  He worked for local farms throughout his entire life, picking vegetables as a young adult to working on a dairy farm in his elder years. He eventually purchased his own small farms in North Fairfield where he raised cows and chickens and always had a bountiful garden.  He loved cutting wood and strolling through his woods in any season, he loved the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and sharing stories with his grandchildren. His love was shown in time spent and stories told.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susann (Missig) Harris; daughters, Christina (David) Wiegel of North Fairfield, and Dawn (Angel) Meza of Dade City, Florida; his son, Kenneth A (Jessica) Harris of Ferguson, Kentucky; grandchildren, Robert (Barbara Thurston) Ritchey, Victoria (Nathaniel) Delamater, Trever Harris, Brooke Meanle, Liam Harris, and Steven Harris; step-grandchildren, Jeystin (Dawn) Wiegel, Brandon (Jenny) Wiegel, Jillian (Robert) Huber, Ryan (Jordan) Wiegel, and Carson McMillin Diperna; sisters-in-law, Marlene (Robert) Obringer, and  Donna (Steve) Wilhelm; brothers-in-law, James (Jean) Missig, Marv (Jan) Missig, Robert (Carol) Missig, and Donald (Nancy) Missig; and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Eugene Harris; sister-in-law, Laura Harris; brother-in-law, Kenneth Missig; sister-in-law, Judy Missig; brother-in-law, Fred Missig and previous wife Sandra (Strait) Harris.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on January 8, 2026, with Father Kishore Kottana of St Mary of the Snows and Father Ron Brickner of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish officiating - followed by visitation until 11:30 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in New London at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the family in care of Evans Funeral Home or one’s favorite charity.
