Magdeline (Ruffing) Roth

Magdeline “Maggie” (Ruffing) Roth, age 90, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 31, 2026, at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born May 17, 1936, in Bismarck, Sherman Township, OH to the late Phillip and Olivia (Wise) Ruffing. She was a graduate of Willard High School, raised her family, always had a welcoming home, attended her children and grandchildren activities, was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians, St. Paul Flyers and enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, gardens and her roses. She enjoyed country music, square dancing and attending her family dinners. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was an avid volunteer and helped with funeral luncheons.
She is survived by her children, John Roth of Norwalk, Martin (Jacqueline) Roth of Norwalk, Lisa (Matt) Camp of Lorain; son-in-law, Andrew Cooksey of Medina; grandchildren, Marisa, Samantha, Dustin (Ellie), Whitney (Matt) McHugh, Rebeccah and Jacob Roth, Alec Cooksey and Maura Cooksey; great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Seamus, Lottie and Isla; brother, John Ruffing of Norwalk; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Roth in 2011; daughter, Linda Cooksey; great-grandson, Harrison McHugh; and her siblings, Helen Hackathorn, Cecilia Ruffing and Francis A. Ruffing.
Visitation for friends and family will be 4:00 -6:00 p.m Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery and a luncheon to follow.
