Margaret Martha King, age 99, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, November 02, 2018 at Bellevue Care Center.

She was born November 20, 1918 in Frostburg, Maryland to the late George and Veronica (McGuire) Tipping. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a life member of the VFW Post 2743 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Carol (The Late Dale) Trautman of Norwalk, Fran (Denny) Cole of Milan, Cathy (Keith) Takahara of Hawaii, Patty (David) Zika of Norwalk and Peggy (Burnie) Brummitt of New London; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Virginia Schultz of Mantua.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Thomas King Sr. in 1984; children, George Edward King, Charles Thomas “Tom” King Jr. and John Raymond “Jackie” King; daughter-in-laws, Sherry King and Penny King; a sister and four brothers.

Friends may call Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk with the Rev. Andrew Wellmann officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
