Why Webcast?

At Evans Funeral Home we know that watching a live funeral webcast will never take the place of actually being there, however we have seen an ever growing number of family members who would like to attend a funeral service but cannot attend due to poor health problems, military or work obligations or even financial constraints. For this reason, Evans Funeral home is now offering live funeral webcasting using the latest in streaming technology. In March of 2010, our funeral home contracted Nationalwebcasts.com to install and support new streaming website equipment to give this much needed service to those we serve. Our live webcasts now feature full streaming motion and sound. Simple, Windows Media Video (.wmv) format ensures simple ease of viewing with no complicated software to install. While most Windows XP or newer computers are already prepared to view the live stream there may be some older computers or web browsers may need you to run the window media player component as explained in the instructions found here.

Live Webcast

To view a private webcast service you must have a password. The password ensures privacy and allows the immediate family to choose who can participate in the live stream. On the day of the funeral webcast do not go to this public page! The actual funeral webcast is linked directly to each persons obituary page and can be viewed by clicking the live webcast button like shown here in our example.

Privacy Policy

At Evans Funeral Home we respect your privacy and have established our webcast privacy policy for your peace of mind. All of our live funeral webcasts are password protected and webcasting is only provided free of charge to those families who request the service. Services are never publicly broadcast to anyone nor is the password distributed without the immediate families permission. If you have questions about our services please feel free to ask one of our funeral directors.

Weather Cam

Weather Cam (not available during funeral services). Our live weather cam allows the community and our families to see the live video, setup and test computer browsers prior to a real funeral webcast and offers a peaceful view of our small community's weather! Enjoy!
