William J. "Joey" Garrity

William J “Joey” Garrity, age 33, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019.

He was born February 27, 1985 in Parkersburg, West Virginia and attended Norwalk High School. He worked at PIPO, Monroeville Industrial Molding, Hot Topic and Journey at the Sandusky Mall. He enjoyed attending the Elevation Church and walked every day. He was an avid drummer, guitar player and enjoyed electronics. He especially like listening to Blink 182 and was in the Taylor Way Band.

He is survived by his mother, Debra (Doug) Kemper of Norwalk; daughter, Maxine Grace Garrity; his girlfriend, Amy Holtz and her daughter, Chloe Holtz; siblings, Christina Payne, Douglas Kemper Jr. and Dr. Kristin Kemper, DC; aunts: Shirley (The late Jim) Nutter, Donna Tomkins and Patricia Hale; uncle, Randy Husk; and his beloved dogs, Lady and Sheldon.

He was preceded in death by his father, William David Garrity II; a brother, Timothy David Garrity; maternal grandparents, James and Maxine Husk.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 W. Broad Street, Monroeville with Dennis Hinkle and Melissa Daily officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.

You always made me laugh and smile. You had a good heart. I wish I could have been there for you. I'd give anything to do that. Thank you for being so good to my kids and so sweet to me. You will always be my friend.
