Toni Brutsche

Toni Lee (Aiello) Brutsche, age 70, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born September 6, 1948 in Sharon, PA to the late Anthony S. and Marie C. (Zakan) Aiello. She was a 1966 graduate of Norwalk High School and married Robert Brutsche on October 16, 1971 at St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a leading member of the Norwalk High School alumni association and an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She worked many years with Huron County Bank, Citizens Bank and retired from National City Bank and PNC in 1994. Then was the assistant to the Treasurer at the Erie Huron Ottawa Educational Services and a secretary at Shawnee, Townsend and Adams Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her children and was proud of them as teachers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, holidays, cooking, stained glass, flowers, outdoors and staying organized with her daily to do list. She loved life. She never missed a St. Paul High School sporting event for her children and grandchildren. She was a die-hard St. Paul, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State and Indians fan. She especially enjoyed trips with her husband and going to Casinos. Her family was the center of her life, and she knew people in every city and state when she traveled. There was not a day she didn’t reference her grandchildren and their accomplishments.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Timothy) Phillips of Norwalk and Greg Brutsche of Toledo; adored grandchildren, Madison, Mitchel, and Malone Phillips of Norwalk; siblings, Kathleen (Thomas) Henley of Sandusky and John J. (Martha) Aiello of Youngstown; sister-in-law, Diane (Bruce Failor) Wiles of Norwalk; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert E. “Bino” Brutsche in 2014.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street in Norwalk. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk with Rev. Andrew Wellmann and Deacon Dave Rospert presiding. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the annual Brutsche Memorial Scholarship c/o St. Paul High School, 93 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH, 44857.
