Carol Ann McCreary

March 27, 2019

Carol Ann (Rogers) McCreary, age 80, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 4, 1939 in Norwalk to the late Lynn Wirt Rogers and Dorothy May (Wolfe) Rogers. She was the wife of Herm McCreary for 62 years and a member of the English Speaking Union, Queen Ester Chapter of Eastern Star #15, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Dendarah and the Royal Order of Jesteretts, Aibonez #11.

Carol Ann was a Lady known to walk to the beat of her own drum, with flair of life that was both a delight and an entertainment to all. Her devotion to her children and any and all animals was well known by those that got engaged in her long talks about her pets, and of course her family. A devotion to her husband was well known to all that were around her. Her soft simple way of life is a Legacy to her children and Grandchildren that will live on through them. Her sweetness, kindness and simplicity was like a breath of fresh air.

She is survived by her loving husband, Herm McCreary; beloved children, Raymond (Peggy) McCreary, Desiree (Tom) Gilbert and Rosalynn (Aaron) Campbell; six Grandchildren, Raymond, Katherine, Samantha, Keith, Parker, and Elizabeth; and five Great-Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, David Rogers.

There will be a future Celebration of Life when Lady Carol Ann and Herm are together again. Remembrances may be sent to Heartland Hospice, 907 W. State Street Suite A, Fremont, OH 43420.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
