Shirley Spaar

Shirley (Scheid) Spaar, age 89, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born February 17, 1933, in Sandusky to the late Robert and Elsie (Cramer) Scheid.  She was a graduate of Milan High School, member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and was a kindergarten aide for many years with Norwalk Catholic Schools.  She raised her family and enjoyed bowling, shopping, loved her Las Vegas trips, luncheons with the retired teachers, attending St. Paul athletics and especially following her grandchildren’s events.  She was an avid fan of the Cavs, Browns and Indians and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Marilyn) Spaar of Norwalk and Troy (Kasey) Spaar of Norwalk; grandchildren, Jennifer, Corey, Mallory, Ashley, Katie, Victoria, and Kelsey; greatgrandchildren, Journey, Hudson, Tanner, Kennedy, Calli, Ember, Aubrey, Lola and Poppy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard C. Spaar in 2011; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Steve Jenck; and brother, Ronald Scheid.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.  A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 30, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk.  Inurnment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Very sorry to read of your loss Spaar's. Although, I did not know your mom/grandma, I do know most of her family and think -----like all who know you, that she raised a beautiful family. I wish I would known such a wonderful women. Godspeed to you all.
