Leisha (Burke) Rospert

Leisha D (Burke) Rospert, age 58, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Cleveland Metro Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born March 1, 1965, in Madison, Indiana to the late William and Zelma (Brooks) Burke.  She was a 1983 graduate of Edison High School and received an associate degree from BGSU Firelands.  She was the business administrator at Bleile Supply in Norwalk for 20 years and enjoyed raising her sons and was a part-time kindergarten aid for a few years.  She worked nearly 20 years as the firm administrator at Payne, Nickles & Company and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a founding advisor for the Huron County Clovers 4-H club and was also active in her accounting associations and served as a President for many years. She found the most meaning in life spending time with her family and being “Maw” to her grandchildren. When she wasn’t with them, she was either on facetime or browsing her many photos of them.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Mark Rospert; sons, Gerod (Stephanie) Rospert of Norwalk and Alexander (Sarah) Rospert of Pataskala, OH; grandchildren, Remi, William, Ava, Elise, Ida, Maryn, and one on the way; sisters, Leslie “Denise” (Steve) Zeck of Huron, and Lorri (Brian) Keyser of Milan; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Robert Burke in 1988.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 P.M. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
