Anthony "Tony" J. Fritz

Anthony “Tony” J Fritz, age 82, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born May 25, 1941, in Monroeville, OH to the late Anthony John Fritz and Irene (Wise) Fritz.  He served in the US Army from 1964 until 1970 and continued in the Army Reserve.  He worked at Sandusky International for 22 years in maintenance, and for many years provided general maintenance for local car wash, and storage units in Norwalk.  He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his extended family.

He is survived by his granddaughters, Tricia (Doug Combs) Baker, and Tracy (Ron) Lang; great-grandchildren, Chas (Jeremy Perez) Lang, Cortney (Ryan Fleming) Lang, and Kyle (Kirsten) Lang, Haleigh (Isaac Cleary) Skinner; great-great-grandchildren, Vincent, Addie, Lilly, and Knox; nieces; Lara (Todd) Fritz Holman and Katie (Brian) Fritz Thomas; great-nieces and nephews, Nicole, Evelyn, Megan, Gage, Evan, Sullivan, and Lilah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, companion, Marion Lucile Fritz; siblings, Anita Fritz, Robert Fritz and Julia LaFene.

A funeral Mass will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, OH with Pastor Doug Garand officiating. At the conclusion of Mass military honors will be provided.  Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
