Karl Lierenz Jr.

Karl Richard Lierenz Jr, age 70, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by family.

He was born January 28, 1953, in Norwalk to the late Karl Sr. and Janet (Sommers) Lierenz. He was a 1971 graduate of Western Reserve High School and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching Cleveland Guardians baseball and past golf leagues.  He was the owner and operator of Ohio Earth Movers, established in 1978. He built his home and enjoyed building and working with his hands.

He is survived by his children, Adam (Beth) Lierenz of Norwalk, Rob (Nina Kocan) Lierenz of Cleveland, and Julie Lierenz of Columbus; grandchildren, Kamryn and Anthony; siblings, Dave (Marianne) Lierenz of Norwalk, Barb Wetzel of Milan, Joyce Gonter of NC, and Nancy (Bill) Horn of NC; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held July 5, 2024, at his home.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

I was so sorry to hear about Karly. So many memories! Jim & I dbl dated with him so many times in high school and he & Jim were friends for years as the families were. Karly was an ornry, but special person.
