Eileen Joyce Ungerer

Eileen Joyce (Baker) Ungerer, age 75, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born October 14, 1948, in Cumberland, Maryland to the late Sylvester P. and Vera (Beaven) Baker. She retired after 28 years of service with the Huron County Job and Family Services. She worked other jobs over the years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was known to sacrifice for and support her children throughout their lives.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Amy) Ungerer of Green Springs and Jason Ungerer of Norwalk; siblings, David (Linda) Baker of FL, Lesley (Jim) Cochran of IN, Maureen (Curtis) Johnston of CA, Lorraine (Arthur) Barrette of Milan, Robin Baker of FL, Barbara (Ken) Richardson of AZ, Marjorie (Bruce) Sanford of Norwalk, and Richard Baker of FL; special nieces, Jillian Puder of Clyde, Sarah (Derek) Ferry of Huron, who she raised as her own; four grandchildren, other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Terry Baker, and a great-nephew, Michael Ezell in infancy.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
