Rebecca "Becky" Sommers
August 25, 2025
Rebecca “Becky” Sommers, age 56, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, peacefully at home.
Our beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother was born on December 2, 1968, in Willard and was a high school graduate. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren most of all. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and used her positive creativity in everything that she made. She also loved attending demolition derbies with her loving husband. Her outstanding charisma and stunning character will be missed by all. Becky had a zest for life and her family that was unrivaled. Becky had a personality that would melt your heart, make you smile, and cause you to laugh. She will be missed dearly by everyone but the memories she gave us will last forever.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Sommers, of 20 years; her mother, Janet Crawford and children, Kayla (Zachary) Chaffee of Norwalk, Cassondra (Ryan) Van Ness of Bellevue, Kimberly Collins of North Field, and Danielle Stephens of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings Peggy Conley of Greenwich, Mike (Lisa) Baldridge of Plymouth, Tom (Clarice) Browning of Hendersonville, TN, and Jean (David) Lewis of North Fairfield; and endearing nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Tom Crawford; Grandmother, Florence Williams; brother Andy Crawford; and brother -in-law Mark Conley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
Memorial contributions may be sent to When Pigs Fly at The Piggyback Foundation, P.O. Box 436, Norwalk, OH, 44857.
