Ralph "Sonny" Holzmiller

Ralph “Sonny” A Holzmiller Jr, age 83 of Norwalk, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born October 8, 1942 in Sandusky to the late Ralph and Mary M. (Bickley) Holzmiller. Ralph attended Milan High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. He retired from the State of Ohio ODOT. He also worked at Home Depot and EHOVE. He was a longtime member of the Eagles 711. Ralph especially enjoyed spending time with his family and great granddaughters Raelynn, Peyton, and Salem Holtz.
He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Holzmiller; sons Barry (Donna), Scott (Paula), Kim (Tim Etheridge) Daniel; and stepdaughter Tammy Scheid. 11 Grandchildren; Ashley (Luke), Kyle (Cierra), Cody, Samantha (Alex), Tifaney, Caryssa, Jeremy, Jake, Bohdi, Emily, and Amanda; brother Steve (Lori) of Georgia; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Mary M. (Bickley) Holzmiller; brothers, Rich and Ron; sister, Darlene Calhoun; and stepson, Steve Killian.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A luncheon will follow at St. Paul Catholic Church’s gathering space.
