Rodney C Sommers, age 55, of Norwalk, passed away November 3, 2025.
He was born May 22, 1970, in Norwalk, OH and is a high school graduate. He was a loving husband and father. He was a very well-known man and never met a stranger and made friends no matter where he went! He worked many years as a mechanic and a machine maintenance worker. He devoted his free time to spending time with his wife and children! He really enjoyed taking scenic motorcycle rides. He also enjoyed assisting and attending demolition derbies and running his own derby cars for many years! In the spare time he also enjoyed watching Nascar and NFL football.
He is survived by his children, Kayla (Zachary) Chaffee of Norwalk, Cassondra (Ryan) Van Ness of Bellevue, Kimberly Collins of North Fairfield, and Danielle Stephens of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings Mike (Tammy) Sommers, Father Norman Sommers. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years, Rebecca Sommers on August 25, 2025, and mother, Loretta (Cramer) Sommers.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
