Michael D. Hamilton

Michael Duane Hamilton, age 38, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

He was born November 4, 1987, in Oberlin to the late Michael Elmo Hamilton and Rita (Wilmoth) Leach. He was a 2007 graduate of Western Reserve High School and worked for over 12 years at Ventra in Sandusky. He then owned and operated Free Change Auto in New London, where he was a mechanic. He then became a truck driver in Genoa for BCA Express.  He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, football and Baseball and was on the Norwalk Rec Men’s softball league for many years.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles and snowmobiling.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Ashley (Wiseman) Hamilton to whom had met over 15 years and have two children, Alaina K. Hamilton and Callen H. Hamilton; survived by his brother, Cody E. (Erica) Hamilton of New London and their children, Adam and Lex; and his stepfather, Ronald “Skip” Leach of New London; step-sisters, Cassandra, Michelle, and Brittany; and special friends, Devin, Brittany, Mason, and Chloe Jones. He loved all of his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister in infancy, Jessica.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:30 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery.
