Eugene L. Seitz

Eugene Leland Seitz, age 90, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born May 16, 1935, to the late George L. Seitz and Theresa A. (Spaar) Manlet. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul High School and was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. He retired after 35 years of service as a Superintendent for the City of Norwalk streets and water department. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was active with the Norwalk Eagles Aerie #711. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and following their activities. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed golfing, fishing and supporting the Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State University sports.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (Tim) Hallock of Norwalk and Christopher Seitz of Norwalk; son-in-law, Carl Johnson of WV; grandchildren, Trey (Alexis) Hallock of Columbus, Kelly Johnson of Columbus and Brooke Hallock of Norwalk; a great-grandson, Cameron Getts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou (Watts) Seitz in 2023; his parents, daughter, Amy Johnson; brother, Thomas Seitz; and his stepfather, Paul Manlet.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. in Woodlawn Cemetery, 200 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk.
