Mark A. Keefer

Mark Allen Keefer, age 68, of Norwalk and formerly Monroeville, passed away Wednesday evening, May 13, 2026, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 5, 1957, in Norwalk and graduated from Monroeville High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially spending time and attending his nieces and nephews’ activities, and Monroeville sports. He was a longtime owner of businesses with his brother, and most recently Buckeye Auto Salvage in Bellevue. He especially enjoyed his conversations with his customers. He was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711 and was an avid collector of all things including sports memorabilia. He also enjoyed time at his family’s cottage at Johnson’s Island, and reading the newspaper, attending concerts and listening to local bands.
He is survived by his mother, Ann (Albright) Keefer; siblings, Alice (Ron) Appeman of Norwalk, Jacqueline (Gary) Desmond of Monroeville and Jeffrey (Tammy Bechtler) Keefer of Norwalk; brother-in-law, Kevin Wurmser; nieces and nephews, Mike (Krista) Appeman, Kyle (Hollie) Appeman, Brad (Illyana) Wurmser, Todd Wurmser, Mandi (Kevin) Miller, Amber (Alex) Faley; good friend, Brett Jones; and other family and friends, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mel Keefer in 2021; sister, Sandy Wurmser in 2024.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:30 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk with Pastor Justin Jump officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date in Steuben Cemetery.
