Randy L. Hayes

Randy Lee Hayes, age 58, of Amherst and formerly of Monroeville, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Randy was born on November 12, 1967, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Bibb and Elsa (Gillen) Hayes. He graduated from Edison High School in 1986.

A truck driver his entire working life, Randy dedicated the last 30 years of his career to Robertson Heating Supply in Sandusky. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

More than anything, Randy's greatest joy was his family. His wife and children were the center of his world. He was the dad who was always just a phone call away. Whether it was advice, a home project, a repair, or a problem that needed solving, the answer was always, "Call Dad."

Randy devoted countless hours to coaching his children's teams, from softball and baseball to basketball. He wasn't just a coach on the field, he was a coach in life, offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support to those he loved.

One of Randy's greatest loves was spending time with his wife, Cyndi. Together they created a lifetime of memories through their travels, motorcycle rides, and just going wherever the road would take them. Their love story was built on a lifetime of unwavering love, shared adventures, and a deep commitment to one another.

He will be remembered for his generous heart, his steady presence, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the love he poured into his family every day. The lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the example he set will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Randy is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Cyndi J. Hayes; his children, Brandon (Alyssa) Hayes of Mentor and Jessica (Pierce) Livermore of Elyria; and his sister, Janice (Dennis) Heintz.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 5:30 P.M. at Trinity Temple Church, State Route 113 East, Milan, OH. Private interment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
