Raymond Boyle

Raymond Boyle, age 81, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away June 6, 2026, in Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born May 5, 1945, to William and Geneva Boyle. He grew up in Ellet, Ohio and was a graduate of Springfield High School. It was on April 15, 1964, that he met the love of his life, Wrayanne. Shortly after, he served in the Army for 3 years from (1964-1967) most notably in Kaiserslautern Germany and Tacoma, WA.

Upon returning from serving in the Army, Ray married Wrayanne December 30, 1967. Shortly after they started a family and was the proud father of three children. He worked at GTE(Verizon) as a Lineman where he worked his way up to management until his retirement. He then worked at Buckeye Telesystem where a significant role in their operations, AMS Consulting, Walmart automotive department, Lowes flooring department, and Home Depot flooring department. 

Ray loved his daily Coca-Cola, Burger King, McDonalds, family, music, camping, travelling, was a master fisherman, reading, and riding his motorcycle with his wife Wrayanne. He liked his humor like he liked his martinis. He was a serious nature lover and loved sitting at his kitchen table every morning admiring the birds and squirrels. Most of all, he loved spending time with Wrayanne. 

Ray is survived by his wife, Wrayanne, daughter Lysa Wray of Akron, John Raymond (Kathleen) Boyle of Louisiana, and Landra Wray (Keli) Stogner of Norwalk. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Clay, Jack, Avila, Lucy, Emma, and Gavin; Great-Grandchildren Leah, Lydia, Ella Wray, and Poppy Joy.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents William and Geneva Boyle, brother Bill Boyle Jr, and grandmother, Bertha Boggs. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the funeral home. A military graveside service will be held at 2:15 P.M. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH.

Tom and I are heartbroken. We shared some wonderful times with Ray, Wrayanne and his entire family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and more stories than anyone else we ever knew. He will be sorely missed but we will always be grateful for the memories we have. Our prayers go out to his entire family May God bring you comfort and peace
