Bill Dendinger

James “Bill” W. Dendinger, age 76, of Sandusky and formerly Willard, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at University Hospital in Cleveland.

He was born February 7, 1950, in Norwalk to the late James E. and Dorothy E. (Brophy) Dendinger. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School, attended Salvation Army services, enjoyed drag racing and was a truck driver for many years. He knew how to throw a party, attending auctions and garage sales most weekends, and enjoyed tinkering and working with his hands. He has a certificate in Apartment Maintenance and loved his model semi-trucks.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Kenneth (Jennifer) Dendinger, Autumn Morris, Chris Dendinger, Sybil Dendinger, Casey Dendinger; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Becky (Ron Music) O’Dell and Cindy “Sissy” Dendinger; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John N. Dendinger; and sister, Sherry Casper.

A celebration of life service and party will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the family residence in Sandusky.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
