Carol J. Jump

Carol J Jump, age 92, of Norwalk and formerly Monroeville, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, in The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born July 31, 1934, in Coshocton, OH to the late Charles R. and Mildred (Bacon) Cissne. She was a 1952 graduate of Norwalk High School. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, boating, and attending her children’s school sports and activities. She was a member of the Monroeville UCC Congregational Community Church. She worked for over 30 years as Assistant Treasurer with Huron County Board of Education. She volunteered for many years with the Senior Center’s Age Exchange program and was known for her basket and wreath making. She also enjoyed hanging out with friends on Leisure Lane, and activities and excursions with her Willows friends.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Jan) Jump of Wellington; grandchildren, Josh (Jen) Jump of Sugarcreek, Justin (Julie) Jump of Bellevue, Brad (Lara) Jett of Elmore, and Ashley (Kyle) Lloyd of Bellevue; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Zeke, Jeremiah, Jessamine, Jacob, Janela, Joy, Cooper, Autumn, and Braxton; sister, Liz (Ron) Cashen of Genoa; son-in-law, Kerry Jett of Castalia; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Jump in 2009; daughter, Linda Jett in 2019; and sisters, Nancy Bauman and Johanna DuBray.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk with Pastor Wayne Chasney officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
