Lora Jean McGhee, age 85, of Wakeman, passed away peacefully Friday, September 11, 2026.
She was born November 11, 1940, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Arthur and Emma Dials. She worked as a nurse’s aide for over 30 years at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to Amish country and especially enjoyed her cats and dogs.
She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Robert W. McGhee; children, Kathleen (Edward), Christine, Rodney and Michael; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Debra; brothers, Russell and Chuck; and stepbrother, Jarome.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
